Burnham Beeches Rotary Club was presented with a ‘Proud of Bucks’ Community Award for the best Group in the Beeches Community Board area. The Club was nominated by Burnham Health Promotion Trust which we work with on food bank operations and promoting healthy lifestyles through an annual ‘Marathon Challenge’.
These awards celebrate Buckinghamshire’s communities that have demonstrated caring, creativity and commitment towards their local areas and recognise and applaud outstanding community contribution carried out by local individuals, groups, and organisations. Over 500 nominations were received across the county. Burnham Beeches’ award recognises and celebrates ‘a group in the community board area who has made a clear and positive impact on the community’.
Club President, Keith Greenough, is pictured receiving the award from Cllr David Anthony, Chair of the Beeches Community Board. Keith stated that ‘We are truly delighted to receive this award. As a Club we have focused more on our local community during the difficult times of the pandemic. It is especially rewarding to be nominated by one of the organisations that we have been serving’.
