Friends of Rotary

Find out more about becoming a "Friend of Rotary" in Westhill and District

What is a ‘Friend of Rotary’?

An individual, who does not currently have the time or is unable to commit to becoming a full Rotarian, but participates in some projects, fundraising activities and/or events managed and run by the Club.

What kind of ‘Participation’?

Assist, as and when you can, in our local activities, for example: -

·       running competitions for the younger members of the community, eg school quizzes and other competitions.

·       manning our fundraising fairground stalls set up at various local events.

·       providing social events for the community such as the Senior Citizens Christmas Party and our ‘Lazy Sunday Afternoon’.

·       controlling car parking at large events in the local area;

·       helping with litter picks; helping with various grounds maintenance tasks to enhance the look and feel of Westhill and creating local amenities like the pétanque court.

 Why become a ‘Friend of Rotary’?

Be part of Westhill & District Rotary Club, share our ideals and objectives and support the local community, but without the responsibility or commitment required from a full member. Specifically, a ‘Friend of Rotary’ will: -

·      support Rotary service projects that help local and international communities.

·       feel involved in Westhill & District Rotary Club’s efforts to assist your community.

·       have an open invitation to come along to any Rotary meeting.

·       have access to our ‘Friends of Rotary’ Facebook Group to connect with other like-minded people.

Maybe you already help at various events as a partner, family member or friend of a Rotarian; if so, by becoming a `Friend of Rotary` you would recognise the vital part you currently play in the success of Rotary in Westhill & District.
