This evening twelve Rotarians and guests enjoyed a most interesting talk in the Chapel about the history and workings of Mortlake Crematorium. Firstly Clerk to the Board Richard Harbord, followed by Natasha Bradshaw, Superintendent and Registrar. We were shown ‘behind the scenes’ and told how all modern technlogy had been introduced recently for the smooth operation to meet today’s requirements. Organiser Richard Ward thanked Richard and Natasha for giving their time for us this evening. Afterwards everyone enjoyed a pre-ordered/delivered supper, and drinks, in the waiting room at the Crematorium. (See photo: Natasha and Richard standing, rear.) Another ‘outside visit’ successfully completed.
