Club outside visit to Mortlake Crematorium.

Crematorium visit followed by fish & chips!

This evening twelve Rotarians and guests enjoyed a most interesting talk in the Chapel about the history and workings of Mortlake Crematorium. Firstly Clerk to the Board Richard Harbord, followed by Natasha Bradshaw, Superintendent and Registrar.  

We were shown ‘behind the scenes’ and told how all modern technlogy had been introduced recently for the smooth operation to meet today’s requirements.

Organiser Richard Ward thanked Richard and Natasha for giving their time for us this evening.  
Afterwards everyone enjoyed a pre-ordered/delivered supper, and drinks, in the waiting room at the Crematorium. (See photo: Natasha and Richard standing, rear.)

The Club was Chartered on 12th October 1984 and Richard tells us about some of the mile stones in the Club's history.

This year we distributed 18 Christmas Food Bags and 58 food vouchers, each with Richard’s biscuit selection, to Crossroad Care Richmond & Kingston!
