Dear Brigitte and Jim,

I've just returned from a wonderful trip to Ghana and I'm so happy to finally be able to bring you some 'visual' news on Kew Gardens' goats!

One of the photos attached is of some of the older boys at Laadi's with the new arrivals. The goats (and sheep!) are being bought over a period of time, to ensure that the family are able to manage them properly and this was the very first delivery. I have left my colleague Andy out there to get photos of the many more animals that were due to arrive after I left. I actually received a phone call yesterday from Kwame, the young man I told you about in my presentation when I visited you all, informing me that he and his brothers were with the new goats and that the animals wanted to greet everyone in the UK! The children are so grateful and can't believe the generosity of people like yourselves. They really don't know how to repay you
