Once again the Stockport Lamplighter Rotary was proud to sponsor an Eye Camp in India. Each week club members donate their small change into a bottle that goes round the meeting, and this year we raised £400 in it. We do this in memory of one of our Founder Members, Satish Bhargava, who was an eye surgeon. His wife Sandra added £400 to our total and the £800 meant that we could provide vision restoring cataract operations for 30 people who wouldn't otherwise have been able to have the treatment.
This was carried out over two days, and reports from each day can be found here and here.
