The Club provided the funding for a super day at Petty Pool Outdoor Centre in Northwich on Thursday 31st March. 28 children and 3 teachers from Westmorland Primary School in Brinnington went, and representing Rotary were Linda, Marjorie, and Bill and Mary.
We did orienteering in the woods, climbing on the climbing wall (not the Rotarians) and the zip wire which traveled at 30 miles an hour. One Rotarian dared to do this as the pictures show. Marjorie was very brave or mental - not sure which. It started out when she just put the gear on for a photo, then the kids all got excited that she was having a go and it gained momentum. Petty Pool say she is the oldest person ever to try the zip wire. Well done Marjorie!
All the children, and everyone involved had a wonderful day and surely it will be a day none of them will forget.
