Fred and Jan walk the walk
When Fred Plimmer's sister died of Ovarian cancer she decided she was going to do something about it.....
Fred Plimmer (left), wife of Club President, Bob, completed a sponsored walk along the first 15 miles of the Cotswold Way from Bath on 30th June. She tackled the walk with her friend Jan Piddlesden, as both had lost family members to ovarian cancer. They raised nearly £2500 from sponsorship, and in addition President Bob chose to donate £1000 from Wickford Rotary Club’s 2018 ‘200 Club’ to Target Ovarian Cancer, in memory of Fred’s sister, who died in September 2017
