Wickford Rotary 2013 Firework Display Update

Preliminary update.

Well the weather was dry and not too cold, and the large sized crowd were, as usual, treated to a brilliant display of fireworks. We will have a slideshow on here shortly.

To the good people of Wickford and surrounding areas, thank you for your patronage and support without whom this event would not be possible. For many this was a first visit, but many others it is a regular pilgrimage. 

This year the proceeds will be donated to Little Havens Hospices and as soon as we have a confirmed amount we will update you through our website.

A big thank you to everyone that helped to organise the event and those that helped to unload the bonfire wood and transport it to the display area and to build the bonfire and all of the other preparation that went into to making this a safe family event. To the Fire Service for being on hand in case, The Police Officers for making us feel secure and to the St. John's Ambulance service for being on hand for any medical requirements and to the attending doctors for their assistance. The ladies from the Inner Wheel for selling wares and to the Wickford Scouts for the refreshments. Also to anyone that we have missed.
