A brief report on the Rotary Club of Ingatestone volunteers helping to load a lorry bound for Ukraine.
Chris Blackie, Senga, Neil & Alan spent two hours on Thursday morning 11th August at the Basildon Warehouse
To reduce the number of pallets to be loaded, they stacked extra layers on some pallets, to give a smaller ‘footprint’ of pallets and so get more on the lorry.
When the lorry arrived at 12:00, pump trucks ere used to assist in loading almost 28 pallets, carefully counted on the manifest by Chris.
Roddy drove the forklift.
Mary B., Jo, Jonathan & Steve were the other volunteers.
The photos tell the story
Another satisfying contribution by the club to the Hope & Aid Direct Ukraine Relief project.
