Covid-19: Unprecedented Times

Adapting to Lockdown and Self-Isolation

Message from RI

Following government advice to address the Coronavirus outbreak, many meetings and events have been cancelled. However, clubs continue to try to support their local communities in a number of ways.

We value your support and aim to resume normal activities as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, keep safe and well.

CANCELLED
All club meetings after mid March
QUIZ NGHT - on 24th April
CRIBBAGE FINAL - 6th May
CHARITY GOLF DAY - posptponed until 29th September
CHARTER NIGHT  on 18th June - will be postponed: date TBA
SUMMER EVENING JAZZ CONCERT on 4th July - postponed till 3rd July 2021

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To keep everyone in touch, we first held an audio conference using 'freeconferencecall.com' when 6 members of the Jazz Committee met by phone to cancel the event.
Thanks go to Helder Lemos for setting up a WhatsApp group to let us share chat, jokes and videos - very popular it is proving to be.
We held our inaugaral Audio/Visual Meeting using Zoom on Thursday 26th March -

We had a few teething problems, but held our 2nd Zoom meeting - the April Business Meeting - on Thursday 2nd April, with a 75% attendance. We shall improve, but it proved a success and enabled us to join together as Rotarians.
