Club Golf Champion 2013
Played on 27th August at Burnham-on-Crouch G. C.
This year's competiton was played in glorious sunshine over a course with beautiful views over the river estuary. Organised by Neil Macalister, our 15 strong group started with coffee & a bacon roll - with Ham, Egg & Chips after playing.
Pam Nicol was Ladies winner; Irene Turner, runner-up and Julie Dent, best lady guest.
Dennis Nicol and Barry Seymour won the 'Nearest the Pins', other prizes were won by miscellaneous players. The winners on the day were Ron Dent, best guest; Martin Lister, who was runner-up with 34 points, but Barry Seymour is our worthy 2013 Club Champion with 38 points.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the day - it was good to be joined by Friends of Rotary - Ron Went & Colin Bayman, and ex-member Brian Procter who played alongside David Goodman and Peter Larcombe [ still hits a 'good ball' for some-one his young age!]
We shall look forward to Barry S. organising the 2014 competition
