Rotarians from 1240 District joined forces in the wake of the 2010 V Festival to launch Operation Tent Peg. Up to 600 tents were dismantled and collected to be cleaned and passed to youth organisations or sold to raise money for charity. Thousands of tents stoves, chairs, cans of drink were abandoned on the site.
