The girls of the 6th Upminster Guides based at St.Laurence enjoyed a day out planting 5000 crocus corms in the Clockhouse Gardens Upminster recently in aid of the Purple4Polio scheme.
The Guide Group was set a challenge and Linda ordered and the Parks Department for Havering Council supplied the corms along with planting equipment.
The lack of rain recently made planting more difficult but Guides being Guides they made light work of it and successfully completed the challenge.
Guide leader Madeleine express her gratitude to Linda for making this come about.
