Several club members visited First Step on Monday to join in their 25th Anniversary celebrations. Founded in 1988 by Gill Hare and Margaret Williams, this wonderful 'Special needs' school started life at the Baptist Church in Upminster, and moved to it's current home at Tangmere Crescent in 2006.
The charity currently works with over 100 pre-school children and their families, offering education services, support, information and encouragement.
Eileen Newman, Chair of the Trustees, addressed a large gathering to celebrate the event, and Gill and Margaret buried a Time Capsule to commemorate the Anniversary. Deputy Mayor Linda Trew unveiled a plaque for the occasion. Pics.
