Annual Primary School Quiz

Rotary encourages all family members to actively take part in various projects, so to that end, we organise an annual Primary School general knowledge quiz.

Devised and run by Rotarian Sheila Barnett (pictured), who puts the whole thing together, including quiz questions etc.

This year 2026, 13 schools from the Havering area took part. During the year this was whittled down to just 3 finalists.

Gidea Park Primary School, Scott's Primary School and St Mary's Catholic Primary School. After a very tight contest, Gidea Park won by just 2 points.

All the finalists were awarded Amazon vouchers, and all 13 participant schools were financially rewarded for taking part and supporting the quiz.

A word of thanks to the schools as they always provide excellent facilities on the day to support the quiz.
