At the meeting this week members were joined by the Town Crier of Great Dunmow, Jody Huizar, and the Town Crier Of Bognor Regis, Jane Smith, both accompanied by their respective partners.
Jane and Jody are members of ‘The Ancient & Honourable Guild of Town Criers’ where Jane serves as Vice Chair. She’s also the writer of proclamations read by town criers nationwide, including those for VE Day 80 and the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The connection between Jane, Jody & the Rotary Club of Dunmow is that Jane has been making Jody’s new Town Crier regalia which the Rotary Club of Dunmow was pleased to help cover the cost of so Jody can further promote our town.
Both are seen with Peter Watson, Rotary Club of Dunmow past President.
