About us

The Rotary Club of Dunmow is part of a worldwide organisation working to support our local community, and global Rotary humanitarian projects.


We meet at the Saracen's Head Hotel every Thursday at 12.45pm.  There are also occasional social events to which partners and guests are invited.

There is also a nearby club, the Rotary Club of Takeley.  They meet at an alternative day and time, fortnightly at 8pm on a Wednesday evening in the Little Canfield Village Hall, although the location does change occasionally, so please email to check.

What projects do we run?

* Santa's sleigh rounds in Takeley and Little Canfield and Santa Collections at Tesco and the Co-op.

* The Rotary Rose Bowl Quiz.

* Stroke Awareness campaign.

* Support for local athletes with funds raised at the Sports Personality Dinner.

* The international Polio eradication campaign.

* Metal detection rally.

* Provision of Shelter boxes and Aquaboxes to international disaster areas, working with our Rotarian friends across the world.

      * Litter collections in the community.

      * Food bank collections.

We also offer active support for local events such as the Flitch Trials and annual Carnival and Christmas Fairs.


Support for Young People and Schools in Dunmow and surrounding villages  

We organise competitions for young people, with prizes, every year.
