A team of ten Dunmow Rotarians, partners and young helper supported the feed station for the annual 'Ride Essex' cycle event in aid of 'Action Medical Research for Children'.
The event had 855 cyclists taking part following three different routes, Champion course at 100.4 miles, a Classic course at 68.7 miles and a Cool course at 35.8 miles, all around the Essex countryside, starting and finishing in Writtle.
All three routes passed through the Dunmow feeding station at Foakes Hall, Dunmow, where it was estimated that we was supplying a drink of tea, coffee or squash every 25 seconds between 9am & 3pm. There was also a lot of cheese and pickle sandwiches made by the team for the hungry cyclists along with all the food supplied by the 'Ride Essex' team.
