Young Musician Competition
The Young Musician competition has been completed.
Young Musician 2025/26. This competition is open to anyone from 5*-17 years old. This year’s competition will again also include a local Young Composer section. The date for the initial local competition is Sunday 16th November 2025, at Helena Romanes School, Great Dunmow.
All entrants must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or teacher for the duration of the event.
* The competition for those below 7 years of age is at a local level only.
The format for our local Young Composer competition is as follows:
1. The piece to be a minimum of 2 minutes long.
2. Entry to be submitted as on MP3 file with the score in graphic or notation form.
3. The piece can be for any instrument
4. The piece can be of any genre.
