We were far too late in launching our 35th Rose Bowl Quiz back in February, with the result that we had to postpone it because too few teams were available. We’re sorry. In the hope that we can avoid the same error for our re-run, I am pleased to tell you that this year’s Rotary Rose Bowl Quiz will now take place on Friday 15th November — more than six weeks away, so you have loads of time to marshal your troops. The format will be as before: a fiercely fought ten-round contest for teams of up to eight. The winning team will hold the prestigious Rose Bowl Trophy for the ensuing year.
Payable on the night, either in cash or by card (just one card per team, please), the entry fee of £12 per team member will include a table buffet supper and there will, as ever, be a licensed bar. Profits from this year’s event will go, as usual, to Dunmow Rotary Club’s Charitable Trust, which every year supports dozens of local charities and provides for community needs as they arise.
I hope that you will join us again. Please complete our online form via this link as soon as possible, but no later than Friday 8th November 2024, to ensure that you are not disappointed. We usually have a full house!
We look forward to your team’s entry.
Yours sincerely
Peter Watson
Immediate Past President
