Guest speaker representing the The Liam Taylor Legacy

The guest speaker at this week’s club meeting was Julie Taylor representing The Liam Taylor Legacy - RIP Fish.  Julie explained that the Liam Taylor Legacy was set-up after her grandson was stabbed to death on 31st January 2020 in the Rose & Crown pub Writtle, aged just 19.  She also explained some of the longterm effects on their family following the tragic events of that day.

The trust now provides education and support to various organisations including schools and prisons, to try to stop the carrying and use of knives.  In addition they work to deploy Emergency Bleed Control Kits, which contain military grade field dressings to stop or reduce bleeding following an injury, be that as a result of a stabbing or an accident.  The club was pleased to offer a donation for the purchase of an Emergency Bleed Control Kits, which will be deployed in the Dunmow area.
