The Rotary Club of Dunmow has now celebrated it’s 75th anniversary of being formed, with a ‘Black Tie’ dinner at the the Weavers Restaurant, Bocking. The event was attended by over fifty Dunmow Rotarians, family & friends, including David Willis, District Governor Rotary District 1240. During the event David Willis presented certificates to Peter Watson, current President of the Rotary Club of Dunmow, commemorating the anniversary, as can be seen in the picture.
The evening included an after dinner speaker in the form of ‘Sir Winston Churchill’, recalling his life history.
The Rotary Club of Dunmow was formed on 9th February 1949 and continues to thrive in the town, supporting many local, national and international charities & organisations with its efforts. In addition, having some good fun along the way.
