Last year, because of Covid-19 regulations, Dunmow Rotary’s celebrated Annual Rose Bowl Quiz was held online using Zoom. Despite considerable technical challenges it was a resounding success, with eight teams and more than 50 participants joining us from their own homes, and it enabled us to donate £1,000 to the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
This year, on Saturday 26 February we will be back at the Foakes Hall in Dunmow, which has been our venue for this event for the previous 30+ years. The format will be as before: a ten-round contest for teams of up to eight; the winning team will hold the prestigious Rose Bowl Trophy for the ensuing year. The entry fee of £10 per team member, payable at the event, includes a table buffet supper and there will be a licensed bar. All profits from this year’s event will go to Dunmow Rotary’s Charitable Trust, which in turn supports local charities and community needs as they arise.
We will of course undertake all necessary risk assessments and ensure that the event is as Covid-safe as possible. This is likely to mean that we have to reduce the number of teams we can accept, so if you want yours to be included, please complete the online form at https://bit.ly/DunmowRoseBowl2022 as soon as possible, to ensure that you are not disappointed. We always have a full house!
