At a recent Thursday meeting Dunmow Rotarians were joined by Pam Watson Jones who talked about ‘KidsOut’, a charity that provides outings for disadvantaged children in the UK.
The charity was originally founded by Lady Grantchester in the 1990’s, who worked with the Rotary organisation to establish an annual National Rotary KidsOut day on the second Wednesday of June. This year it will take place on 8th June, although not just limited to this single day.
The number of children having benefited from these events over the years is now just under one million.
