At this month's Friday social Zoom meeting, Dunmow Rotarians and friends were joined by Holly Canham, from the charity  "Action For Children", who provided an insight into the work of their charity.

Their mission is that "Every child and young person in the country has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive."

During the presentation we were given some eye opening statistics for the UK :-

- Every 15 minutes a child is moved into care for their own safety.
- The number of children living in poverty is 4.1 million.
- One in five children under 18 have been exposed to domestic abuse.

For more information on "Action for Children" and the work they do, please visit their website at https://www.actionforchildren.org.uk/
