This week's meeting saw the handover of the Presidency from Willie Fraser to Michael Chapman, being overseen by Colin Bradley, next year's President of the Rotary Club of Dunmow.
When he took on the role of President, little did Willie know that a pandemic was around the corner, or that he would be in the Chair for two years. We need to thank him for steering the club through two of the most difficult years in Rotary history. Very little has gone as he would have originally have planned, so it is to his credit that we have achieved so much in that time. We have (nearly) all managed to hold very successful meetings on Zoom; and it has been great to welcome members from other clubs, even from Australia, Norway & Ireland, as well as Canterbury in the UK. In addition, we have gained new members, added Young Musician to our Youth programme and inducted a new Satellite Club based in Takeley.
We All say a very big thank you to Willie for the last two years.
The meeting also saw the induction of, new member, Paul Bowen into the Rotary Club of Dunmow.
