The winning teams from the Dunmow Rotary Youth Debate went to Chelmsford Council Chambers on 4th March to battle it out with other Essex teams to go forward to the Regional finals in Cambridge.
The Intermediate team spoke eloquently on the English Curriculum and the Senior Team argued coherently on whether we should lower the voting age to 16. Unfortunately the teams were pipped to the post by Grays Convent School (intermediate) and Brentwood School (senior), but Elly Dinning won the prize for the best Chairperson and Danielle Fookes won the prize for the best Proposer. in the intermediate section.
