Party in the Park – 16th July 2022

Local technology company ITVET held a wonderful event on 16th July in Sworder’s Field – a free party for all those in our community who had helped as volunteers during the pandemic – "Stortford Heroes".  A group of our members answered the call for helpers and played their part on what was a very hot afternoon!  Denis Fordyce was providing wristbands at the entry gate, and President Jane Mitchell and Margaret Webb helped in the VIP refreshments marquee, serving meat and vegetable pies, cream teas and all other sorts of fabulous food.  In doing so, they made the acquaintance of volunteers from many other local organisations and shared ideas that will help our club to become even more involved in community initiatives
