Every June, the Rotary Organisation throughout Britain and Ireland together with the 'Kids Out' charity take over 25,000 disadvantaged children on a great big day out. The children visit the seaside or theme parks, adventure playgrounds & zoos giving them all wonderful memories to cherish for a lifetime.
The first Rotary Kids Out Big Day Out took place in 1990 and since then the clubs of Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland have taken up to 25,000 disadvantaged children on a fun day out every year. The Big Day Out 2019 took place on Wednesday 12th June.
The Rotary Club of Bishop’s Stortford arranged for students from the St Elizabeth’s Centre and from Amwell View School to attend the Paradise Wildlife Park for the day. We arranged for 38 students plus carers and helpers to go to the event at Paradise Park.
