Several years ago, Bishop’s Stortford Rotary Club provided funds for materials and organised a team of volunteers to redecorate the Thirst Youth Café, a part of Bishop's Stortford Youth Project, which has been operating very successfully for a number of years at the corner of Newtown Road and South Street – “Grater’s Corner”.
They recently asked if we could possibly give the Café another coat of paint. We pulled together a team from amongst our Rotary Corporate Members – from Teeslaw, Nockolds and Weldon Beesly - who made the Café look bright and new again.
Our team of volunteers spent the day redecorating the café, helping to refresh the hub of this important local charity, which supports young people in Bishop’s Stortford and the surrounding area.
Alongside contributing our time and enthusiasm, all three firms contributed £100 towards the cost of materials, helping Thirst focus its valuable resources on the young people it supports.
A huge thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and got involved.
