Eddie Fraser - Telecare and Telehealth in East Ayrshire

Eddie Fraser is Head of Service - Community Care for East Ayrshire Council. He will describe how technology plays a key role in delivering care and healthcare to individuals and their families, enabling them to enjoy a better quality of life.


Technology can play a key role in helping individuals and their families to enjoy a better quality of life. It can support independent living within the home and the community by providing an immediate response to emergency situations. At any one time around 3,000 people in East Ayrshire are supported through Community Alarm services.

Telecare and telehealth are both enhanced services provided by East Ayrshire Council in partnership with NHS Ayrshire & Arran which use technology to support people within their homes.
 
Telecare involves the remote or enhanced delivery of care to individuals in their homes or within the community. It is available to anyone living in East Ayrshire and can either link into an individual

Charlie Boax, who attends Grange Academy, was the winner of our local Rotary Young Musician competition. On Sunday, 23 April 2023, Charlie competed in the RIGBI Young Musician Final in Manchester and was again successful.
