Fundraising Events

The fundraising committee organises several events during the year to raise funds, which enables the club to support local good causes and international ones too.

The Matlock club was chartered in 1927. Since this time, the club has demonstrated a good consistent record to reinforce its objective, which is to serve its local community. It is attended by members who live in Matlock and the surrounding area and who work together and contribute in many ways to help support the fundraising events. We are always looking for additional support and would welcome an opportunity to include new members or helpers for all or any of the events.

Our next big event is the annual Cromford Car Show on Sunday 20th June 2021 covid 19 permitting. 

We also run a Mulled Wine stall and the Matlock Victorian Christmas Market. 

Previously our other main fundraiser the Dovedale Dipper which we ran for 17 years has been passed over the the Peak Running please contact them on www.peakrunning.co.uk if you wish to take part.

We also regularly raise funds via collections at our local supermarket and our own Wishing Wells in the area.
