Matlock Rotary Fundraising Activities

The members via our Charity Matlock Rotary CIO organises several events during the year to raise funds, which enables the club to support local good causes and international ones too.

The Matlock club was chartered in 1927. Since this time, the club has demonstrated a good consistent record to reinforce its objective, which is to serve its local community. It is attended by members who live in Matlock and the surrounding area and who work together and contribute in many ways to help support the fundraising events. We are always looking for additional support and would welcome an opportunity to include new members or helpers for all or any of the events.

Our main event is the annual Cromford Car Show held on Sunday 20th June 2025 held at Matlock Baliens Rugby Club .  We also participate in the Ashover Car show each July in conjunction with Rotary Clubs of Chesterfield

We also run a Mulled Wine stall at the Matlock Xmas light switch on in December each year.

Previously we ran a Mulled Wine  at the Matlock Victorian Christmas Market but have decided not to do this in 2025.

The Dovedale Dipper which we ran for 17 years has been passed over the the Peak Running please contact them on www.peakrunning.co.uk if you wish to take part.

We also regularly raise funds via collections at our local supermarket and our own Wishing Wells in the area.

Please refer to our Events diary on this website and/or contact any member.
