Carnforth Rotary recently made a donation to The Rotary Doctor Bank of Great Britain and Ireland. This is a service which has been helping developing countries for 30 years, all of the work being carried out by volunteers.
Their most recent project is The Mother of Mercy Hospital in Kyengera, a deprived area on the outskirts of Kampala.
They are also supporting an orphanage in South West Uganda where they are sponsoring 16 orphans to attend secondary school.
