The grounds around our 'Nessie' sculpture refurbished by Rotary South Queensferry with financial help from Cala Homes
The Guardian of the Bridges aka "Nessie" sculpture we designed and built a number of years ago by Liverpool ceramic artist Debbie Ryan in conjunction with input from several local primary schools. The sculpure was repaired earlier this year as it had been damaged by a combination of weather and folks sitting on the humps for a photo shoot.
Although the repairs were undertaken in the Spring of this year and were effective the surrounding grounds had deteriorated and were looking very dilapidated . So with financial support from the Cala Homes Community Pledge Fund the Rotary Environmental team have undertaken a magnificent make over of the grounds over the past two months which now provides a fine setting befitting this fine sculpture . And a fence is now in place to protect "Nessie" from intruders and perhap to stop her escaping!
