Rotarians provide planters for primary school's vegetable growing lessons

The Rotary Club of South Queensferry wad approached by St Margaret's Primary School who enquired if our environmental team might be willing to build two new raised vegetable bed planters in the school garden as the previous ones had long since "given up the ghost". Having ordered the materials Matt and Neil took the opportunity of the Easter school break to build and fill the planters all ready for vegetable growing classes.
The school  intend to run these vegetable growing classes towards the end of April covering some theory and of course practical  outdoor sessions when the pupils can "get their hands dirty" literally. These classes  will be run  by Neil and Mark Gilmour one of Neil's  Friends of Ferry Glen environmental group volunteers. They also plan to run similar sessions for Queensferry Primary School pupils.
