Zoom Meeting

Club members please log in for more information.

On Thursday 18th March the Rotary Club of South Queensferry held a fellowship meeting on Zoom. Members formed into four groups based on World Cup Teams. They were shown pictures of sixteen destinations ranging from Scottish towns to cities all over the world. There was amusement naming the locations as not all of the pictures were recognisable tourist shots. The team named 'Germany' were the eventual winners. Over the year of lockdown, the club has been exploring and developing the possibilities of Zoom. At this meeting several break out rooms were created with five people in each. This was an excellent way to chat and catch up when the possibility of normal club meetings remains in the distant future.

In other business, President Irene Brownless said that Drew Graham had resigned from the club. Drew is a respected member of many years, but as he will be ninety very soon, he regretfully decided to call it a day. Irene thanked drew for his Rotary service and wished him well for the future.

PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION

The club's annual Photographic Competition is now open to all Rotarians, partners, friends and family. All proceeds will go to the Freedom from Fistula Foundation. Appropriately, this year's theme is 'Hope'. The competition will be judged by well-known local photographer Alistair Pryde and unveiled on Zoom on Thursday 22nd April. The deadline for entries to be emailed to Grainger Falconer is 1st April.
