We run a Friendship Cafe which is held at the Methodist Church on Back Lane in Newtown monthly. It is open to anyone, but particularly people with memory problems and their carers. We have music with movement run by Elaine Meddins, a highly qualified music therapist, singing, activities and games including quizzes, Scrabble, Boccia, Dominoes and cards. Books are available to dip into or borrow. There is support from Newtown's Mental Health Service and refreshments are freely available.

more A yearly event with communal singing, readings, the Newtown Silver Band, children's and adult choirs all brought together by Reverend Canon Nia Morris. Everybody is welcome. Hot drinks and mince pies afterwards.
