The Club has continued to respond to emergencies such as earthquakes, floods in any area of the world. Usually we buy Shelterboxes to send as needed as this is a well known way of supporting any disaster. We have also supported Disaster Aid, a Rotary Charity that visits disasters to assess what would be most useful and then organises the supply of whatever is needed, be it manpower or equipment.
The Committee has raised funds for a school in Uganda to have water supplied to their school (Bethan and Horace in the centre of the picture, who run the school, visited us in September 2017), through Literacy in a Box we sent basic equipment to pupils in schools in third world areas with the assistance of our Primary schools, Lend With Care supporting small businesses and Sand Dams conserving water locally for very dry areas in Africa
