Friday, July 3rd is the evening of the annual music quiz which raises a few pounds for the Youth Committee, particularly for the “Opening Doors” careers event. Your £6 entrance fee includes Kath’s special supper, as well as an evening of fun and frolics (polite term for cock-ups).
Quiz master is once again Alan Dorling, recently returned from his worldwide Elvis tribute tour of West Taphouse.
Music will range from vintage pop to musicals, film scores, ballet and, with US Independence Day the following day, a few reminders of the basis of popular music. For those not having a feel for music, here’s a subtle clue for the answer to question 10 of the first music round – Elvis.
