January Jaunt

An enjoyable day in the company of some friends, finding several locations and undertaking a series of intriguing and difficult challenges, followed by a comfortable stay in a quality hotel, including dinner, bed and breakfast.

What it is not

  1. Stuck in your car for two hours at a time, driving to a pub trying to see the answers to clues on route.
  2. Risking getting stranded in the middle of winter in the middle of nowhere
  3. Hoping that your 3G or 4G phone will come to your aid to answer the question.

Cost: 128 per couple

Please let Clive Littleton or Paul Bassett have your deposit of 28 to reserve your place for a couple by Friday 28th November.  Full payment is required by no later than Thursday 8th January if paying by cheque, by Tuesday 13th January if paying by BACS (sort 30-97-28, account 01354912, RC of Lostwithiel General a/c), or by Thursday 15th January if paying by cash .

The menu for the evening will be soup or pate to start, pork or fish for main and crumble or syllabub for dessert.  Please let Clive or Paul know of your choices by noon Monday 12th January, or else you will get what you are given!

Where we are going remains a closely guarded secret, but we will be leaving from Penhale Farm Caravan Park at 9am on Saturday morning, the 17th January .  If you miss the briefing at 8:50am (real time please, not Rotary time) then you won't know where you are going and so you will also miss coffee, lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast!

Don't be late.

 So far, 20 couples have indicated that they wish to attend, so it should be a fun weekend.

Beer Festival (a great day in March)

The 15th Lostwithiel Charity Beer Festival will be held in the Lostwithiel Community Centre on 16th March 2019 with rugby in the afternoon and music and dancing in the evening.
