RC of Lostwithiel at District Handover

Outgoing District Governor John James will handover to incoming District Governor Stephen Lay, underground in the old slate mine and rum store at Carnglaze Caverns, St Neot, Liskeard at 2:30pm


The handover ceremony will also celebrate the achievements and activities of Rotarians and non-Rotarians who have made a significant difference over the year, which will include presentations to Lostwithiel recipients as follows:

  • A "Service Above Self" award to Rotarian and Past President Walter Gubbins for his leadership and determination in completing the Lostwithiel KGV Playing Field Entrance Project.
     
  • A "Community Service Award" to Mat Connolley and Kat Smith for the time and energy they have given to make Lostwithiel a considerably better place.

Trewithen Dairy, in conjunction with District 1290 and with support from the RC of Lostwithiel, will also formally launch the "Pint for Change" initiative to raise funds for End Polio Now in order to change lives for the better.

The Lostwithiel Memory Cafe is a happy place where people can share memories, ideas and provide mutual support, as well as sharing tea and cake! All guests have the opportunity to access advice, guidance and information, but most importantly have fun!
