On July 14th at 6pm at the Penmorvah Hotel the Rotary Club of Falmouth invited the Head Teacher and a colleague of our local Primary schools to be our guests at a Buffet dinner to hear about the Youth competitions we are offering this year. The description of each was followed by a brief comment from a teacher whose school had been involved in the past on the effect of being in the competition has had on their pupils, One of our judges described what she is looking for from the teams. Hayley Hill, of Cornwall Climate Care, described the subjects relating to Climate Change that she offers free presentations about to schools. Falmouth Primary Academy had a very successful talk for year 5 from her last term. Schools will also be asked as to how Rotary can be of help in the future
more Every year Falmouth Rotary purchases crocus corms to be planted by children from Falmouth primary schools. The money for the corms goes towards eradicating the Polio virus.
