More than a hundred classic vehicles assembled on the Imperial Recreation Field in Exmouth on Saturday in a show organised by Exmouth Rotary to raise funds for Hospiscare. The weather, although very windy, remained dry and mainly sunny, so the precious vehicles were shown at their best.
There were a great variety of cars on display, from modern classics to ancient museum pieces, each of them obviously their owner’s pride and joy. Vintage tractors and motorbikes were also present alongside the famous old Green Goddess, all making for fascinating viewing by old and young alike.
In addition to the vehicles, the show featured may family attractions including a bouncy castle, balloons for kids, a friendly goat from the World of Country Life, marching majorettes, and a football game, where budding England players could show their skills.
Entry was free, but generous donations from the exhibitors and the visiting public enabled Rotary to raise a wonderful £3,000 for Hospiscare.
