A couple of years back we planted an oak tree sapling in Phear Park to commemorate the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Sadly, two relatively dry summers have taken their toll on the tree and it was unlikely to survive. So, we have tried again, this time with an evergreen oak sapling that is already a little more developed so hopefully should last for years to come.
