Our back story

An introduction to what Rotary is all about.

Since its inception, Rotary has always aimed to support those in need.

Rotary's own charity "The Foundation' focusses on seven key areas, making generous grants available at both local and international levels.

 

Its seven areas of focus are:

  • Promoting peace. Rotary encourages conversations to foster understanding within and across cultures. ... 
  • Fighting disease. ... 
  • Providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene. ... 
  • Saving mothers and children. ... 
  • Supporting education. ... 
  • Growing local economies. ... 
  • Protecting the environment.

We educate and equip communities to stop the spread of life-threatening diseases like polio, HIV/AIDS, and malaria. We improve and expand access to low-cost and free health care in developing areas.
