About us

A big welcome to the Rotary Club of Chipping Sodbury.

So what actually is Rotary?

The Rotary Club of Chipping Sodbury is part of Rotary International which provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Today there are approximately 1.2 million Rotarians who belong to more than 31,000 Rotary clubs located in 167 countries

What does this club do?

Friendship, Community and Fun - Friendship is a key word within the club and supporting the community is always combined with fun.

We meet regularly for sociable and interesting events whilst also working to help support local, regional and international projects.

Joining a Rotary Club is a great way to meet people and make new friends whilst, at the same time putting something back into society.

Where does the money come from?

Our club currently raises money through four main annual events; a classic car run; helping with a lung-busting off-road running event known as the Sodbury Slog (https://sodburyslog.co.uk/); a golf  day, and selling Mince Pies and Mulled Wine at Chipping Sodbury Christmas Sunday. Typically we raise around £10,000 each year.
