please look through this website for more detail.
Many will know us for our Christmas activities, especially our float, bringing Santa to see countless excited children (and adults!) as we collect, walking 65 miles in the process! We also collect outside Asda Widnes and, for the first time last year, we were at Notcutts Rivendell Garden Centre with Santa and his elves!
As a result we raised a record, jaw dropping £23,500, all with the invaluable help of local businesses and volunteers, so our thanks go to them and to the Widnes community who so generously donated!
We donated this money back to the Widnes community in March at our annual 'Thank You Evening', put on to not only thank those who help us on the float, but to give the money raised in grants to 59 different groups and individuals, following a brief application process.
It was wonderful to see how much good goes on in our community!
This is not all we do and we are always looking for more members with new ideas, who would like to help not only our local community, but those abroad, following Rotary's motto of "Service above Self".
Now off to do more 'Dogoodery' in the words of a young Rotaractor!
Please get in touch in you'd like to know more - we are a friendly bunch!
