About us

Located on the edge of beautiful Dartmoor in the heart of the South Hams, the Rotary Club of Ivybridge brings together men and women who share a desire to support their community, make new friends and make a positive difference.

We are a friendly and active club involved in a wide range of fundraising, community and social activities throughout the year. Whether it's supporting local charities, organising events, helping with community initiatives or simply enjoying fellowship together, there are many ways to get involved.

One of our proudest achievements has been the installation and ongoing maintenance of six public defibrillators across Ivybridge, alongside providing CPR training to local residents. We are committed to helping make our community a safer place for everyone. Here are the six locations in Ivybridge:

Our fundraising efforts support a variety of local and national causes. In the last year, we have provided funding to organisations including Ivybridge Rugby Club (£500), Trevi (£2,000), Ivybridge Junior Park Run (£1,000), Ivybridge Parkinson's Group (£250), Ivybridge Guiding Group (£200), JMW Run for the Rivers (£250), Plymouth Neonatal Clinic (£500), ShelterBox (£554), the Samaritans (£500) and many other worthwhile causes.

We are also proud to organise the annual Flete Estate 10K and Family Run along the beautiful River Erme. Following the success of our first event, it has now become a regular feature of our fundraising calendar and attracts runners and families from across the region.

Christmas is an especially busy time for the club. Alongside collections at Tesco and Endsleigh Garden Centre, we organise the much-loved annual Santa Sleigh tour around Ivybridge. Our 2025 Christmas collections raised an incredible £7,500 to support local good causes and community projects.

As well as fundraising, we enjoy regular social events including quiz nights, guest speakers and talks from local charities and community groups. Our meetings provide an opportunity to learn more about the issues affecting our area and to discuss how we can help.

We are always keen to welcome new members from all backgrounds. You don't need any special experience, just a willingness to contribute, meet new people and support your community. If you would like to find out more about Rotary in Ivybridge, we would be delighted to hear from you and invite you along to one of our meetings.
