Choir Competition Final at KEGs

The Final of our Annual Choir Competition was held on 4th April 2019 and the winners were St Mary's Primary School Shenfield. The Runners Up were last year's winners St Michael's Junior School Galleywood.

Christmas Light Switch-On

Phoenix, Mildmay and Rivermead Rotary Clubs again be joined together to sell Mulled Wine, Hot Chocolate, Mince Pies and Cookies as part of the Christmas Lights Switch-On. Over £1500 was raised the J's Hospice which is the Mayor's charity fro this year.

Barn Dance at Barrow Farm

Barrow Farm is our charity of the year and at their Barn Dance we will present them with a cheque for the funds raised.

Walk for Water 2016

Young people will walk 6km carrying a back-pack containing 6 litres of water raising money for water projects in Africa. This is the average distance walked and amount of water carried by children in Africa on a daily basis.

Annual General Meeting - at the College

The AGM where reports are received from the current committee chairs and the budgets are approved for 2014-2015. A Certificate of Merit and a £50 Amazon card were presented to Jon Holland for being the Best Catering Student of the year.

Bell Boat Race on the River Chelmer in the City Centre

The 2013 Bell Boat Racing Competition at Chelmsford Canoe Club, Empire Walk, Chelmsford CM2 0DE. Registration 10.00 First Race 10.30. Phoenix were the winners last year so we are out to preserve our honour.

Picnic at Hylands Park

Unfortunately the adventure evening a Screens Park has had to be cancelled. Instead we will meet for a picnic at Hylands Park from 6.30pm onwards in the large field to the right of road from the Writtle car park to the house.

A week of events across the district aiming to end polio. The five Chelmsford clubs will have a shop in High Chelmer featuring displays on Rotary activities in the City. Phoenix will be organising a Teddy Treasure Hunt around the City Centre.

We will be singing carols in the Meadows for the late night Christmas shoppers, collecting money for our Rotary charities. We will meet afterwards for a meal at the Imperial Chinese Buffet.
