NORTH DEVON SHOW

North Devon Show was another favourite for members to contribute service for the local community as Marshalls. Each year we work collaboratively with the organisers to provide Marshall’s who participate on the day in a number of ways.

Seniors Christmas Party

150 Senior Citizens attended our annual Christmas Party at the Barnstaple Hotel on this occasion. The Club funds and facilitates the party to positively impact on their potential social isolation at this important time of the year.

The Club Rotary Garden

A hard days work for our green fingered members! As part of its environmental contribution to the community the Club tends and maintains a small Rotary garden on the edge of the town.

ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF DAY

Each year around 164 golfers from all over the county take part in our terrific Charity competition at Saunton. We normally raise in the region of £5000 for good causes on the day.

A Club meal at Fremington Quay. On this occasion member had to walk to Fremington to work up an appetite which proved a popular occasion with time for friendship and fun.

The Club often engages in fund raising for the North Devon Hospice and on this occasion we were invited to visit and present our cheque.

VISIT TO ATLAS PACKAGING

The Club visited Atlas Packaging for a grand tour and update on the incredible technology they use to run their very successful business.

SHELTERBOX VISIT-HELSTON

A small group visited SHELTERBOX this month and had a fascinating tour, SHELTERBOX now have strategically placed boxes in various parts of the world ready to respond even faster than before.

FRENCH THEMED PRESIDENTS HANDOVER

A fun and friendship handover to the incoming Club President. This time it had a French theme to it.

Barnstaple Fair Children’s Lunch

The Club facilitates and annual lunch for disadvantaged children following their trip to Barnstaple fair. The event has evolved to provide lunch for the children at the fair over recent years.
